Wild Orchid Wine News Wild Orchid Wines gets set for 2010: We are now well and truly into 2010 and grape harvest has begun. The festival and show season has begun and the Wild Orchid team is looking forward to having our wines on display at the following events:
Medal Success: Wild Orchid has had great success with recent wine shows across Australia on three of our new release wines. We don't make our wines to win medals, however it is great to have recognition and affirmation that our premium wines are consistently delivering quality from year to year. Our latest achievements are: 2009 Blackwood Valley & WA Boutique Wine Show: Our 2008 Shiraz won Silver, and our new release 2009 Rosé won Bronze. Australian Small Winemakers Show and the 121st Rutherglen Wine Show: Bronze medals were awarded to our 2008 Shiraz, 2009 Semillon Sauvignon Blanc and our 2009 Rosé. 32nd Qantas Wine Show of WA: Our Semillon Sauvignon Blanc recieved a Bronze medal. Rose Release:After a much anticipated wait, Wild Orchid's wonderful Rosé has returned. Our 2009 Cabernet Shiraz Rosé has just been released and has already been topped our 'most popular' list as well as winning medals. Described as 'summer in a glass' it is certainly living up to it's reputation and is available for tasting and sales now! Visit our on-line shop or download Wild Orchid's mail order form to sample our latest releases. Thank You! To all the fantastic ladies who attended the Women Leading Change -Women's Day in Katanning on the 12th February. Wild Orchid Wines was glad to be part of such an inspiring event. In the Vines: Harvest is on the horizon, and the grapes are looking fantastic - they certainly seem to be enjoying the warm weather more than we are. Once again, the Tempranillo is out-stripping all expectations and keeping us busy with fruit thinning to ensure a great quality wine. Thank goodness we know there's a cold glass of wine to enjoy at the end of the day.
